A Ministry of Shepherds
I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. I will search for the lost and bring back the stray. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak. Ezekiel 34:15-16
Welcome to Christ Community Fellowship’s Women’s Ministry!
With Christ as our model, and Ezekiel 34:15-16 providing our guidance, our ministry is devoted to shepherding women. We seek the Lord’s guidance in all things, waiting for HIM to open the door so that we may join HIM where HE is working.
What is our Ministry of Shepherds about? We focus on relationships and connection. We equip and release. We spend much time on our knees on behalf of our women. We come alongside each other to pray, encourage, support and hold accountable. We reach out to the lost women we know, and who come to us through our outreach efforts. In other words, we’re about being available on a one-to-basis to extend grace and demonstrate to women the agape love of Jesus.
Our Vision. Allow Christ to live in us and work through us, so that we may lavish others with God’s extravagant love through His Word, relationship and unity.
Our Mission. Equip and release women to minister, serve, and bless others as we see where God is working and join Him there.
Long-Range Goal. The Women’s Ministry Director will shepherd the Women’s Ministry Team members to equip and release them to shepherd the women of CCF, who will equip and release them to shepherd others.
Goals. See details for these below.
- Shepherd Prayer Partners
- Saturday with The Shepherd
- Bible Studies
- Spring Luncheon
- Annual “Retreat”
~ Our Leadership Team – The Shepherds ~
We wait on God to raise up members for our Leadership Team, thus ensuring that each has a heart for women, and is spiritually gifted for her area of service. Each of us is committed to daily prayer for our church body, for our ministry, and for our women.
The Leadership Team meets at 5:30 PM the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Our focus is prayer, equipping and releasing. To make sure we’re in tune with the needs of our women, we ask the following questions at each meeting: Are we missing anything? Are we keeping in touch with what Gods want us to look for and deal with? Where is God working, and how can we join Him there?

~ The Shepherds’ Corner ~
Through the body of Christ Community Fellowship, God has blessed us by providing our Women’s Ministry with a lovely space. The Shepherds’ Corner, located at the south side of the building near the Music Ministry office, is a warm and inviting room we use for Bible study, prayer, meetings, one-on-one consultation, and solitude. You’re invited to come in and curl up in a comfy chair or among the floor pillows, or spread your study materials out on the table. Our prayer is that you would find it a place of peace, solace and comfort.
So bring your cup of coffee or tea and your Bible or books—put some praise music in the CD player and…consider yourself at home!
~ Shepherd Partners ~
We have divided up the list of our CCF women among the Leadership Team. Each shepherd is responsible for committing concentrated time every day to praying for her women, keeping in touch with the women on her list, and being available to come alongside as needed. So someone is praying for YOU every day!
~ Saturday with The Shepherd ~
The second Saturday of each month, from 8 to 10 AM, we will host the women from the Albuquerque Rescue Mission Women’s Center of Hope. We will provide breakfast, a devotional, worship and a time of instruction on a particular life skill. It is our prayer that you will join us in this effort, and would encourage you to connect with one of the women, and become her Shepherd Prayer Partner & Encourager! Will you prayerfully consider becoming a part of this outreach to these special sisters in Christ as we offer a safe place of warmth, hospitality, grace and love?
~ Bible Studies ~
We offer a variety of women’s Bible studies on Tuesday mornings, Sunday mornings, and evening studies. Check the CCF Communiqué, the CCF website, bulletins and flyers for upcoming studies.
~ Spring Luncheon ~
Our spring luncheons are wonderful! We have had great speakers the last few years, and women have been greatly blessed and encouraged by them. Our next luncheon will be on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at CCF. As we have done the last couple of years, we will invite CCF women to be responsible for decorating a table – providing the table cloth, dinnerware, centerpiece, etc. You will be amazed at how our worship center is completely transformed into a lovely, warm atmosphere of hospitality and grace! We hope you’ll join us next April – and consider hosting a table! Look for more details as we approach the time.
~ Annual “Retreat” ~
Our next “retreat” is scheduled for January 22-23, 2010 at CCF. Stay tuned for details!
